Main Street Clinton
Clinton is the symbol of "Small Town Charm, in the heart of upstate South Carolina." Located right off exit I-26, Clinton is only an hour away from Columbia, Greenville and surrounding Spartanburg areas. With so many options for food and entertainment, Clinton is your home away from home. Originally called Five Points due to the intersection of Main Street and the Dutch Fork Railroad, Clinton has always been a place where people come together. Join us for our events, CO' Lighted Night, Scots & Brats: Scottish Oktoberfest, and Rhythm On The Rails as we celebrate our heritage and give back to our community. Quality of Life Opportunity Zone
Our History
Originally named Five Points, Clinton was one of the twenty-five stops on the Dutch Fork Line railroad that took passengers to Columbia, Newberry, and Laurens. Today, the replica of the original train depot still stands in downtown Clinton. This remnant of our history stands as a marker for our community and is often the beacon for events.
Our Main street Logo plays
homage to Clinton's original
name of Five Points due to the
5 centers of town around the railroad.
